Inzovu Mall that the Duval Group plans to build in the former offices of the Ministry of Justice near Gishushu

 

After about 25 years with participations in real estate development, the hospitality sector, food production and investment funds among others. A French company, Groupe Duval, is undertaking a number of projects, including a multi-billion dollar shopping center on the former Justice Ministry site, next to the Kigali convention center named Inzovu.

The ground break of this mixed-use complex "Inzovu mall" is in the coming months, according to the developers will have aspects of green technology and already the project has the confirmation of tenants like the French brand Odalys City Business Apart Hotel, a global brand hypermarket among others.

The mall will feature a range of facilities including indoor gaming facilities, gaming arcades, a wide range of retailers, restaurants among others as it is as well expected to complement the tourism experience for guests in the country.

Local businessman and managing director of Duval Great Lakes Ltd, Vicky Murabukirwa, told the New Times that Duval Great Lakes Ltd will also soon launch other real estate projects as well as the financial sector.

 

 

The group’s interest in the country’s financial sector comes at a time when Rwanda is rolling out the Kigali International Finance Center, which aims to position Rwanda as a regional financial hub.

He said the commitment to invest in a context of global uncertainty proves the confidence of the French Group in the Rwandan market and ecosystem.

Among the impacts he intends to have on the local market, there is job creation, skills transfer as well as presenting other investment opportunities in the country.

The Groupe Duval employs 4,500 people and achieved a total turnover of 700 million euros in 2018.
